Strategos “Operators Ballistic Shield” Package
Strategos
is excited to announce the availability of the new “High Mobility/Low
Profile” Ballistic Shield. This shield has been custom designed by Strategos
Instructor Staff who teach the Strategos “Ballistic Shield Operations
& Deployment” courses. These instructors are also lead instructors and
operators for a SWAT unit of the largest police agency in the United
States. Their experience in deploying a ballistic shield in real world
operations including barricade, hostage rescue, high risk warrant service
is unrivaled.
Several years
ago when Strategos was first introduced to the tactical principles that
these operators utilize when deploying a ballistic shield in their operations,
we were quite simply, “blown away”. Deploying a shield in an offensive
manner where the user does not have to sacrifice mobility, flexibility
and speed over an extended period of time is critical for success. Achieving
these goals not only requires the proper “Software” (training) but the
proper “Hardware” (equipment) The Strategos “Operators Ballistic Shield”
package fulfills the “hardware” requirements for success. This shield
is lightweight, (only 12.6 lbs) balanced from top to bottom and left
to right and provides IIIA ballistic protection.
The carry handle was designed with ergonomics and comfortable shield
management over extended periods of time. The specifications of this
shield are as follows:

As with any ballistic
shield Strategos recommends a having some sort of illumination tool
mounted to the shield. When selecting a lighting tool for the shield
we wanted to make sure that it would meet the following criteria:
- Lightweight
- Durable
& dependable in extreme environments where it may receive impacts
from doorways, drops and other objects

Maximum light output downrange
- Multi-function
Capabilities (momentary, constant on and strobing capability)
Strategos was able
to achieve the above criteria by sourcing and offering 2 different shield
light options for the “High Mobility/Low Profile” Ballistic Shield.
Both of these illumination tool options are very lightweight (19 oz.
& 25.2 oz respectively w/ batteries installed)
- The
“Standard” ballistic shield light produces a very significant 300
lumens of LED light output and operates on 4 - “C” batteries and weighs
only 25.2 oz. with batteries installed.

output and operates on 6 – CR123A 3-volt lithium batteries and weighs
only 19 oz. with batteries installed.
